Tour Plan

Day 1 — Coast to Taita Hills Sanctuary

You depart the coast early, leaving behind the ocean air as the landscape gradually shifts inland toward the green hills of Taita.

Upon entering Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, your safari begins immediately. The first game drive moves slowly through rolling terrain, with chances to spot giraffes, buffalo, elephants, and plains game as you make your way toward the lodge.

You arrive at camp around midday for check-in and lunch, followed by time to rest — often by the pool, overlooking the sanctuary below.

In the afternoon, you head back out for another game drive as the light softens and animals gather near water.

As evening settles, you return to your lodge — often built on stilts — where dinner is served overlooking illuminated waterholes, offering uninterrupted wildlife viewing long after sunset.

Overnight: Taita Hills
Highlight: Private sanctuary game drives & lodge-side wildlife viewing

Day 2 — Taita Hills to Tsavo East

The day begins early, when the bush is most active.

At dawn, you set out on a morning game drive — the best time to encounter predators returning from the hunt and animals moving through cooler air.

After breakfast, you continue with a final drive through Taita Hills before crossing into Tsavo East National Park, where the landscape opens dramatically.

Lunch is enjoyed at the lodge or camp, followed by rest during the warmer hours.

In the afternoon, you head out for a classic Tsavo East game drive, following rivers and waterholes where elephants, buffalo, and antelope gather — often coated in Tsavo’s signature red dust.

You return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Tsavo East
Highlight: Transition from intimate conservancy to vast wilderness

Day 3 — Tsavo East & Return to the Coast

An early morning game drive offers a final immersion into Tsavo East’s wide-open spaces.

After breakfast, you continue with a longer drive through different sections of the park, soaking in the scale, silence, and wildlife before exiting around midday.

From here, you begin the return journey to the coast, arriving back at your hotel in the afternoon — relaxed, grounded, and satisfied.
